I Can't Imagine Life Without Him.

Before I continue, if you begin reading this, please continue to the end. Trust me, there is a reason I am writing this.

For those of you that don't already know, my pet cat Friskey (below) was diagnosed with Cancer on Thursday (March 6). Unfortunately, there is nothing that the Vets are able to do. It has spread all over his body. The cancer is in his Lungs, Abdomen, Kidneys, Liver, Bladder, etc. We have no idea how long he has had it, and he showed no symptoms. Therefore we had no idea. Just over the past 24 hours he has gotten worse. As sad as it is to say, if he doesn't even slightly improve, he probably will not make it to Monday.

Please don't misunderstand me. I love my cat very much. If you're a pet owner you obviously know that a pet is so much more, they're like family. For that reason, this is a very difficult time for me and my family. I have a hard time imagining what life will be like once he is gone.

At this point I would like you to think of someone in your life you care deeply about. They could be a best friend, sibling, parent, child, or even someone that has already passed on. (Even a pet). In my case, it would be Friskey.

Now ask yourself this question: Can you imagine life without him/her?

It's a sad thought isn't it? This got me thinking. If I have a hard time imagining life without my pet, what would my life be like without my Savior (Jesus Christ)?

Faith?

I've grown up having Jesus surround my life, and faith plays a big role. So I know Jesus can perform miracles, he has many times. But even if Jesus doesn't perform a miracle in my cat, I know he still exists and loves me unconditionally.

No, I can't explain to you why tragedy happens, and why God allows it to occur. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that God exists and loves each and every one of you so much. I will not allow my faith to be shaken just because a depressing moment occurs. If I did, I wouldn't have any faith left.

If God gave us everything we asked for, there would be no reason for faith because you would get what you want anyway. The definition of faith is "complete trust or confidence in someone or something". Faith isn't about seeing or receiving. It's about believing in what you can't see.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV)

God will use everything, no matter how bad or good, for his purpose and to glorify his name. You don't have to be fearful, because you have been called for his purpose. He has a purpose for everyone, whether you choose to accept him. It is your decision and no one can choose for you.

I'm not going to "sugar-coat" anything. Living for Christ is not a life full of roses, and I'm sure you can see that by what I have shared. I wouldn't change living a life for Christ because I can't imagine it.

Just like you don't have to ask someone if they love you, you don't have to ask if God loves you because he has proven it. He sent his only son to die upon a cross and take on all of your sins. Would you be willing to send you're only child to die for someone else? Probably not.

Accepting Jesus as Savior

Accepting Jesus as your Savior is actually quite simple. This is what they call the ABC's of Salvation.

A-Admit
B-Believe
C-Confess

Admit
Admit you are a Sinner.

Believe
Believe in Jesus as your Savior.

Confess
Confess your faith in Jesus

If you have made the decision to follow Christ, you can say this Simple Prayer:

Dear Jesus, I know I am a Sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness of my sins. I believe you sent your son to die on the cross for me, so that I can be in heaven with you. Thank you Jesus for you Grace and Mercy that saves me. Change my life today, that I can serve you all the days of my life.
In Jesus Name. Amen.

Now you must take this prayer to heart and not just say it, Live it!

If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, I would love to hear about it!

Tell everyone it's my Birthday. Sweet Sixteen? Gifts? Milestone?

Recently I turned the BIG 16!!!! Specifically September 3rd.

And what better way to bring in a new blog post than with a song. (Or a clip of a song). Selena Gomez-Birthday has been "My Birthday Song" for this year.

Food Fumbles. The Chicago Dog.

For those of you who don't know what a "Food Fumble" is, it is what I refer to as food that totally "Bombed". Or something that was so bad I will never eat it in my entire life again, even if it was the last available food resource on the planet!

Tricuspid Valve Prolapse. Living with a heart condition.

If you missed my very first post, you can find it here.

As many of you probably already know, or have read in my About Me Section, I have a heart condition. It is known as Tricuspid Valve Prolapse. If you don't know or aren't sure what this is, I will explain. (I understand if you don't want to read this "boring" informational stuff. If so skip to the next paragraph). There are four valves in the human heart. When a valve "Prolapses" this means the "flaps" of the valve don't close properly. When it doesn't close properly it flops back and forth instead of closing tightly. This can allow the blood being pumped into your heart to go in two directions rather than just one. (This is known as a "Leaky" Valve or Valve Regurgitation).

What?! I have a Blog!

First things first. If you haven't read my About Me, head on over and read that short intro.

I am not typically one to write in a Journal or Diary. Sometimes I get that sudden urge I want to, so I start one. Unfortunately after about a week it gets pushed up under the bed, or stuffed in the nightstand, and sometimes may even end up being torn to pieces and pitched into the trashcan. (Wonder how that happens?)
